Southland Energy, a division of Southland Industries, recently appointed Thomas “T.W.” Williams as Federal Business Development Manager. In his new role, Mr. Williams will be responsible for overseeing Southland Energy’s federal business growth strategy on a national scale.
With over 10 years of experience in the energy services industry, Mr. Williams is focused on helping federal customers achieve their energy efficiency, infrastructure and resiliency goals.

His experience as an Army officer and his ability to build relationships focused on trust and transparency will promote strong and lasting relationships with our customers,” stated Southland Energy Vice President Anthony Roner.
Before joining Southland Energy, Mr. Williams served 28 years of active duty service in the Army, retiring as a Colonel in 2007. During his distinguished Army career, he served as the Installation Commander at Fort Belvoir; the Director of Operations (G-3) for Army Installation Management Command; the Executive Assistant to the Assistant Chief of Staff Installation Management; and as an Air Defense Artillery officer, commanding assignments from platoon to brigade level.
Mr. Williams is a 1979 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and a graduate of the National Defense University. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Aerospace Engineering and a Master’s of Science in National Security Policy.
